Inflation reached 1.9% in the UK in November to avoid pressure on the British with savings account rates, the Office for National Statistics today showed increases (15 December).
New figures have confirmed that the body Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 0.4% over the figure in October at 1.5%, which is the second increase in the past nine months for savings account rates.
Transport costs, which increased by 6.9% per annum year basis during the month increase was an important factor in the past for savings account rates.
In addition, the consumer price index includes a measure of inflation, unlike the CPI prices of goods by 0.3% from -0.8% in October.
